Brighton & Hove

Group 71 is desperately short of funds for the 2007 Pilgrimage Holiday, so much so that without extra fundraising we will not be able to travel, and so will not be able to give any Children and Young People from the Brighton, Hove & Sussex area the experience of a lifetime.

A trip to Lourdes with the HCPT is all about providing the best possible care for the Children and Young People on Pilgrimage with us, in the spiritual setting of Our Lady's town of Lourdes.

2006 in Lourdes with Group 71.

HCPT - The Pilgrimage Trust was formed by a young doctor, Michael Strode from Chailey Heritage in mid-Sussex, in 1956 to take sick and disabled children to Lourdes. Group 71 itself began in 1994 to do just that in the Brighton area. Since 2003

Its name has been altered to Group 71 - Brighton & Hove, to reflect the fact that it is based in the new City of Brighton & Hove.

This site has been set up for two reasons:

1) To publicise Group 71
2) To allow anyone who may be interested in joining the Group, whether as a Helper or one of the Children or Young People, a means of contact (via the Enquiry Form).

Group 71 are extremely grateful to the Haywards Heath Turners, especially Barb; Norma Cahill and 'the other' Dave Turner, who between them raised �2544 to send Children and Young People on the 2006 Holiday Pilgrimage to Lourdes. Thanks for all your hard work!
